Our last official Home Game of the year has become a day that we honour our late teammate and friend McAulay Jones. McAulay was a founding member of the Panthers Football Team in the teamโs first two seasons.
Along with being an incredible teammate and player, McAulay scored the very first Touchdown in Panthers Football history. He was a leader on and off of the field. McAulay tragically lost a 24-hour battle with Meningitis B, on November 4, 2022. He had just turned 21 and was a 3rd year student at Saint Mary’s University. McAulay was an avid football fan; he loved to watch, and he loved to play. His parents, Peter and Heather Jones have established The McAulay Jones Memorial Foundation, in his honour. Music, sports & education, for youth will be the guideposts for the foundation’s giving. Raising awareness and educating people about Meningitis B will also be an important consideration. At this weekends game, the Panthers will be donating all team 50/50 proceeds to the McAulay Jones Memorial Foundation, as well as accepting donations for the same. We ask that all families and friends in attendance for both teams, please help us support this worthy cause in remembrance of our dearly missed friend McAulay๐งก๐
