Documentary Screening – Basic Income Guarantee

Join the Thinking Beyond Band-Aids Coalition on Friday, October
17, 2025 for a special documentary screening and discussion in
recognition of the UN International Day for the Eradication of
Poverty.

‘A Human Picture’ is a short film about the Basic Income
Guarantee (B.I.G.) pilot program in Ontario. Stay after for a group
discussion on how B.I.G. could help reduce poverty here in Nova
Scotia.

When: 6:00–8:00 PM – refreshments will be available from
6:00-6:30pm, the documentary screening will begin at 6:30pm.

A Basic Income Guarantee means no one is left behind because
they can’t meet their basic needs. Come learn, reflect, and talk
about real solutions.

Registration is not mandatory, but we kindly ask that you let us
know if you plan to attend so we can prepare enough food and
seating for everyone. To make sure transportation isn’t a barrier,
